- Dear Students and Parents, I have a BA and a BSc. from York University and I am currently completing a Bachelors of Education from Niagara University. I have been in the educational profession for more an a decade as an EA with the TDSB. I am a Roots of Empathy instructor with the board and have instructed and mentored the Roots of Empathy program to students in both grade 4 and 5 settings. I enjoyed working along side students and teachers to promote empathy in schools. Prior to my academic leave from the TDSB, I have enjoyed working with elementary students, particularly with students with learning disabilities and/or behavioural issues. My greatest reward in education is seeing all students succeed, particularly when they have overcome some major challenges in their learning. I feel strongly that the learning process of students is not just a reflection of their accomplishments but also a learning process for the educator as well. So in saying this, we are embarking on a mutual learning adventure! Let's explore together.
